Koh Bu Bu is a private island with peacheful atmosphere. There are beaches around the island, but the most beautiful one is in the west. This beach is the location of Bu Bu Island Resort, from which you can see some beautiful scenery of Koh Po and Koh Lanta of Krabi. The sandy beach here is white and has gentle slope, so it is very suitable for swim. The east of the island has nothing in particular, but it is a fascinating sunrise beauty spot and from here you can even see Khao Pak Meng in Trang province. The north of the island is a small bay where Koh Nui, Koh Talabeng, Koh Kam and Ban Lo Yai could be seen.

Apart from the beach, there is a pathway about 800m long around the island. So travelers could very well walk to other beaches to se the view or relax amidst the serene settings.
The beach in the front of Koh Bu Bu stretches far almost around the island. It has white and fine grains of sand, very nice for sunbathing and swimming.

THE NEARBY ISLANDS OF KOH BU BU
Interesting islands near Koh Bu Bu are Koh Po, Koh Lanta, Koh Nui, Koh Kam, and Koh Talabeng. So at least if you have had enough of sunbath and books at Koh Bu Bu, it could be very ineresting to visit Koh Talabeng for a kayak trip or Koh Po for a tour to islander villages.

Most tourists choose to stay at Koh Lanta which has much more choices of accommodations and facilities. Koh Lanta could be divided into 2 zones, the west or the back of the island is an entertainment zone with rows of bungalows and restaurants, whereas the est of the island is the old town where many old buildings and cultural attractions are located.

Koh Lanta is a very old district with a sea community that exists for more than 100 years. This district includes three large islands called Koh Lanta Noi, Koh Klang and Koh Lanta Yai, and other minor49 islands. Koh Lanta Yai is the largest island and is the center of traveling. It has many interesting attractions as followings.

Laem Kho Kwang: Laem Kho Kwang is the ti of the cape where you can see very beautiful scenery. Near the cape is Haad Kho Kwang, a very wide sandy beach suitable of beach sports.
Haad Khlong Dao: Haad Khlong Kao is a 2-kilometer-long beach of gray and brown sand. The shallow water area is fine for swimming.
Haad Phr Ae: Haad Phra Ae or Long Beach is a peaceful beach around 2km long. The brown sandy beach is straight, but at some part the water is quite deep. In the evening the beautiful sunset could be seen from the beach.
Haad Khlong Khong: Haad Khlong Khong is a 2-kilometer-long beach that has very quiet and private atmosphere.
Haad Khlong Nin: Haad Khlong Nin is a peachful beach about 800m long. The outstanding feature of the place is the screw pine (genus Pandanus) that grows in rows along the beach.
Ao Ba Kan Tiang: The curved bay of semicircle shape stretches 800m long. This peaceful beach is of brown grained sand, which also offers strange beauty.
Ao Mai Pai: Ao Mai Pai is the last bay before reaching Laem Tanoad, so it is called by the foreigners the Last Beach. The wide beach of white and fine sand serves as a nice swimming area. Due to the distance, the place is pretty peaceful.
Laem Tanoad: Laem Tanod is a cape at the tip of the island. It is the location of a lighthouse that serves as the best sunset view spot of Koh Lanta.

GETTING THERE:
From Krabi town to Koh Lanta: get a van of Thanatour Company which usually parks opposite City Hotel. The van will cross the se by raft for vehicles from the mainland to Koh Lanta Noi and Koh Lanta Yai. The journey takes aobut 2 hours.

From Koh Lanta Yai to Koh Bu Bu: At Koh Lanta Yai, get to Sriraya Market near the old District Administratie Office. From here, hire a motorboat to the island or simply contact the resort on the island, Bu Bu Island Resort. The boat is 150 baht/person.
