Koh Bulone Mai Pai is lacted just around 20 minute further from Koh Bulone Le. This island is the location of the national park ranger unit, and generally speaking it is not for tourist residency. However tourists could visit this islet during the day or, with the permission from the national park, stay at this island in the camp for a day or two.

Koh Bulone Le is a small and peaceful island under the administration of Mu Koh Patra National Park. It is also the center of the Mu Koh Bulone or Bulone group-Islands. There is a local community and a school in the middle of the island, while along the beach are some resorts and bungalows. The charm of this island is the peacefulness ans beautiful nature. There is no road for vehicles on this island, only a walking path that cuts and links the beaches in the front and the back, and the local community in the middle together.
Strangely, unlike Koh Tarutao or Mu Koh Adang-Rawi, most of the visitors of Koh Bulon Le are foreigners. They often choose to spend the night at this island and visit the nearby islands during the day (either half a day or one full day). The favourite islands around Koh Bulone Le are Koh Bulone Don, Koh Bulone Mai Pai, Koh Rang, and Koh Hin Khao.

Located in the west around 15-minute-walk from Haad Na Koh, Ao Pankga or Pankga Bay is a long stony beach with crystal clear sea suitable for a swim. Moreover, it is wonderful spot to watch sunset.

Koh Bulone Le is approximately 20 minutes away from Koh Bulone Le. This smaller island has a village and a beautiful v-shape sandy beach in the east that is perfect for watching sunrise.
Just a bit further from Koh Bulone Le, Koh Bulone Mai Pai has two gorgeous beaches that are peaceful and very good for swimming and sunbathing.

AROUND KOH BULONE LE
Haad Na Koh: Haad Na Koh is located in the eat of the island and is like the lobby of the island. It is fine, while sandy beach with pine trees and emerald green clear sea. You can even choose set the camp right here on the beach, but dont forget to ask permission from the school first, since this area is the schools grass. Haad Na Koh is also very nice for swimming and watching sunrise scenery.

Ao Pankga: Located in the west of the island, Ao Pankga is a long completely stony beach. So you may come and watch different vesion of sunset scenery at this beach. Moreover, on the way to this bay from Haad Na Koh, there are some other smaller bays to visit. Just walk along the beach for around 15 minutes, you will see the beauty and serenity of the island very well.

Ao Muang: Located in the west of the island, Ao Muang are actually two stony bays called Ao Muang Yai and Ao Muang Noi. They are two of the best diving spots of the area, and ia also the location of a fisherman community, as well as some shops, bungalows, beach bars, and boat service. Many visitors choose to come to relax or watch sunset at Ao Muang Yai, and spend the night after that at either Ao Muang Yai or Ao Muang Noi.

THE NEARBY ISLANDS OF KOH BULONE LE
Koh Bulone Don: Located approximately 20 minutes toward the east of Koh Bulone Le, Koh Bulone Don is about haft the size of Koh Bulone Le. The beach in front of the island is long, wide and beautiful, very nice for swimming. From this beach, you can see fascinating scenery of Koh Bulone Don and impressive sunrise scenery. There is a seaman community in the east of the island, and the overall atmosphere is very peaceful. There is no accommodations for tourists on the island. Most travelers choose to stay at koh Bulone Le and come to the island during the daytime.

Koh Bulone Mai Pai: Located towaed the east of Koh Bulone Le, Koh Bulone Mai Pai is a little bit smaller than Koh Bulone Don. It is quite a peaceful islet for there is no local residents here. Koh Bulone Mai Pai has two sandy beaches in the west and the east, which are around 200m and 500m long respectively. On the hillside is also a view spot where you can see the Bulone Group Island scenery very well. Although there are no resorts on the island, tent site and restrooms are available. However, most travelers prefer to stay at Koh Bulone Le where there are more facilities for tourists.

Koh Hin Khao: Koh Hin Khao is a small island located around 30 minutes away to the west of Koh Bulone Le. It is a nice spot for diving and fishing.

Koh Rang: Koh Rang is located 15 minute away to the south of Koh Bulone Le. It is also nice as a diving and fishing spot.

Accommodations:
There are some nice bungalows along the front and the back beaches of Koh Bulone Le. If you feel like staying on some other islands, you can as well get to Koh Bulone Mai Pai and pitch a tent there. But you need to inform the national parks officers at the island first, and bring your own caming equipment and foodstuff.

GETTING THERE
From Satun town to Pak Bara Pier: take highway 4078 at Chalung Junction to La-Ngu district for 37km. Then go on to Pak Bara Pier for another 9km.

From Pak Bara Pier to Koh Bulone Le: Take the regular passenger boat from Pak Bara Pier to Koh Bulone Le. The boat will leave the Pier once a day at 03.00pm; and return from Koh Bulone Le at 09.00am. The journey takes about 2 hours and the boat fare is 300 baht/person (round-trip ticket).
