Being the nearest to the mainland among the 22 islands of Mu Koh Phetra National Park, Koh LiDi could be seen even from the beach at Ban Hua Hin in Amphoe La-Ngu.
The beach at the back or in the east of Koh Li Di could be seen from Ao Lamphu. It is a wonderful spot for watching sunrise, swimming, and snorking.

Located around 5km from Mu Koh Phetra National Park Headquarters at Ao Nun or around 7km from Pak Bara Pier, Koh Li Di is a small island, the nearest to the land among the 22 islands of Mu Koh Phetra National Park. In fact, Koh Li Di has an even smaller island attached in the northeast, called Koh Li Di Lek. But it is an island with bird nest concessions and getting onto the island is prohibited.

As for the main island of Koh Li Di Yai, it s the location of the National Park Protection Unit. The island offers beautiful limestone mountains, two white sandy beaches at the front and the back, as well as mangrove forests and the various kinds of marine animals. Although Koh Li Di is just a small island with no facilities, it would be memorable experience to stay in a tent along the beach and appreciate the prisine natur at this island.

Similar to Laem Pak Bia of Krabi, rangers of coral reefs at Koh Li Di are visible during the low tide. You can walk to see such scenery at the beaches both in the north and the south, but please be careful while treading since coral could be very fragile.

Ao Lamphu: Ao Lamphu or Ao Pad is in the north of the island. The sandy beach is approximately 300m long. Toward the north is an abundant mangrove forest that nourishes a great number of sea animals. Nowonder this is one of the most fascinating diving sports of the area. Toward the northwest of the island is a natural stony road around 570m long strtching to Laem Wa Hin.

Laem Wa Hin view spot: Laem Wa Hin view spot is in the west of the island approximately 400m away. It is one of the best spots to watch sunset scenery as well as Koh Tarutao and other islands.

Ao Maprao: Ao Maprao is in the southwest of the island. It is a 250-meter-long sandy bay. At the end of this bay is a stony beach from which you can get impressive sunset scenery.

Seaman village at Ban Hua Hin: Ban Hua Hin is situated around 8km away from Mu Koh Phetra National Park Headquarters at Ao Nun. Tourists could visit the place to see traditional style of fishing, seamans lifestyle, and shop for fresh seafood from the locals fishing boats.

The Nature Trail at Ao Nun: Around the national park headquarters at Ao Nun, there is a short nature reail approximately 400-500m long. The most interesting animal of this region is the rare spectacled Southern Langur.

GETTING THERE
From Satun town to Pak Bara Pier: take highway 4078 at Chalung Junction to La-Ngu district for 37km.

From La-Ngu district to Mu Koh Phetra National Park: Take the road La Ngu-Pak Bara, and 4km before reaching Pak Bara Pier, there is a left turn to the national park headquarters which is around 2km away. Get there and hire a motorboat from the Tourist Center at Ao Noon. The journey takes about 30 minutes.

1. Please note that although Koh Li Di is suitable for traveling all year, in low season (From April to October), the restaurant on the island might be closed. So we recommend that you bring your own foodstuff contact the national park in advance.
