Haad KhlongToh, also called Laem Pi Pi, is the beach in the west of the island where a village called Ban Khlong Toh is situated. This very long brown sandy beach is exceptionally wide during the low tide.

Haad Laem Son is a beach in the north of Koh Si Bo Ya. The brown sand might not be very inviting for swimmers, but this beach is good enough for making a stroll and watching sunset.

A vast grassy field in the middle of the island could be seen along the way from Haad Khlong Toh to Haad Laem Son.

THINGS TO DO AT KOH SI BO YA
1. Exploring the beaches-: In the west or the back of the island, there is a wonderful beach called Haad Laem Pi Pi with the only one resort of the island, Si Bo Ya Resort. As for the front of the island, there is another beach called Haad Laem Son. The two beaches mentioned link together swim since the sea is pretty sloudy. Most visitors, therefore, come here for a stroll and watching sunset and other islands scenery instead.

2. Seeing the locals way of life: Koh Si Bo Ya has altogether 3 Muslim villages with approximately 800 families. They are Ban Lang Koh (located close to Haad Laem Pi Pi), Ban Si Bo Ya (located in the middle of the island and the location of tourist pier), and Ban Khlong Toh dents are fishermen, while others are traders and rubber farmers.

3. Islands sightseeing tour: Tourists could also charter a motorboat to nearby islands like Koh Jam, Koh Lao Ka, Koh Lao La, and Koh Phai. You can stop for diving at Koh Phai, fishing around the reefs between Koh Jam and Koh Phi Phi, or spend the whole day exploring the beaches of Koh Phi Phi Don- Phi Phi Le and Ao Maya. The boat fare is 1,500 baht a day for a regular boat and 6,000 baht a day for a large fishing boat.

There is only one resort on this island called Si bo Ya Resort, located in the west of the island around Laem Pi Pi. Nevertheless, most visitors prefer to visit this island during the day and stay over-right at Koh Jam instead, since there are more accommodatations there.

GETTING THERE:
1. Start from Laem Kruad Pier: Located at Amphoe Neua Klhong, around 40km from Krabi town, there are narrow motorboats and speedboats from Laem Kruad Pier to Koh Jam and Koh Si Bo Ya. The boat leaves twice a day at 12.00am and 03.00pm. The jorney takes about 30 minutes, and the boat fare is 30-40 baht.

2. Start from Laem Hin Pier: From Krabi town, there is a bus leaving to Laem Hin Poer once a day in the morning. The journey takes around 1 hour and bus fare is 30 baht (if missed the bus, you can hire a car there). At Laem Hin Pier, the passenger boat will leave the Laem Son Pier at Koh Si Bo Ya every 30 minutes. The boat fare is 10 baht, and you can even bring your motorbike to the island by this boat.
